A follow up to the previous blog
As an addendum to my previous blog, it was bit of a bummer to write. I honestly thought there were more people 1) reading №1 Ladies’ Detective Agency novels and B) actually reading my stuff. At this point, I can either shrug it off, and say something cavalier, like, “No matter, I will keep a stiff upper lip, life must go on.” Or, “Ouch, that hurts, but what can I do, except either increase my output and become so good they can’t ignore me or drop out of my dream of being a writer.”
Why such a downer of a beginning? I have written a blog where I consistently and constantly and on purpose mis-wrote the name of the books and not a single soul corrected me. I wrote Ladies’ №1 Detective Agency instead of №1 Ladies’ Detective Agency. The difference is minute, but it is a mistake. One I made over and over.
Perhaps the people thought it rude to correct me. Perhaps no one noticed because no one read the books and then read my article. Perhaps the mistake indeed was so tiny that no one thought that it made such a difference in the end and really would hurt my feelings to point it out to me. I don’t know because no one pointed it out.
