A wedding or a funeral?
About 30 years ago, I was talking to a professor at Southeast Missouri State University, a man at least 30 years older than I was, who said, “You know, I’d rather go to a good funeral than a wedding, any day.” Ironically, my fiancée and I had become close friends with the man and his wife, and a year later, we invited them to our wedding — they came and enjoyed themselves (I think)!
