Dear Annie,

Screw societal expectations! Be happy on your terms & live your own life! You’ll never please everyone anyway — shit, I can’t even please my mother half the time! (Of course her motto is “I love you, you’re perfect, now change!”) This is probably the main reason I don’t have Facebook. The second reason is I don’t give enough fucks — as you can tell by this response. 🤪

Look at it this way — how you live, marriage, children, etc., — to people who care, it doesn’t matter, they’ll love you no matter. And to people who don’t matter, you shouldn’t care!

Giving a hoot about what other people think is a waste of time & energy. Only your own opinion really makes a difference at the end of the day.
