Dear Drew Ford,

I really enjoyed your article — it’s because I haven’t had a “real” first date in 30 years! Being married for the last 27 of those years helped. It was like a walk down memory lane & brought memories & smiles.

I have decided long time ago that I am going to be as at ease as I can be around everyone. I’m Not the kind of person one can fall in love with at first sight (besides, isn’t love supposed to be blind?). I’m the kind of person who becomes more lovable the more you get to know me. I have layers (like an onion & just like everyone else). First dates or 10th dates, I can only be myself. Unless one of us takes out a ventriloquist dummy (hint: it’s not going to be me). Then all bets are off & I go deep into reporter mode!
