Dear Jordan,

I completely agree! There is always something to write about, even if you can’t think of a damned thing! Start with. “I remember…” & go from there.

A few days I decided to start my own, personal challenge. I started, on August 23rd, to write ten story/blog/article ideas per days. Sometimes it’s an idea for a murder mystery. Sometimes it’s a quote. Sometimes it’s an idea for a love story, or an sci fi story, or a list of five boys’ names & five girls’ names’ that are no longer in fashion. Whatever. I use fortune cookies, writing exercise books, TV shows, overheard conversations, snippets of dreams. Those that I really like I mark with a little star.

First I thought I’m gonna keep this list in my journal, for a year. But I’ve changed my mind. I am never going to stop. Now I’m giving this idea to everyone else who wants to use it — if 10 is too many, do 5, or 3, or as many as you want in a day, as long as you do them every day, consistently. Do this for a month. Six month. A year. See if you don’t become addicted to this! Have fun!
