Dear Lizzie,

Good on you for accepting this challenge! I just discovered it — sorry I’m late to the party. I’m late for everything. I come to it honestly. My grandmother was late for her own funeral — her hearse was rear-ended on the way!

Being honest, being vulnerable, trust me, people will respect you & they will like you. Besides, only assholes will pick a fight with someone who bares their soul! Sure, there are always people worse off, but that doesn’t diminish your pain, you still have a right to it. It’s ok to hurt & it’s ok to show it, especially here. Here, none are perfect, we are all somehow broken. I’ve never trusted anyone who haven’t “eaten their share of shit” in life. I mean, how do you know your character, who you are, unless you’ve been through “the fire.” We are made in the forge of life, not in the calm.
