Dear Rachel,

Thank you for your article.

While it’s not alcohol or drugs but food that is my addiction, I could not go to Overeaters Anonymous for too long because, as you pointed out, it is a spiritual program & I am not a spiritual person. I loved, loved, loved the group, where every single person knew intimately the struggle I was going through, yet I also hated the idea of starting at point zero once a falling off the wagon would take place. (Although we didn’t get chips.)

It’s different with food. We can’t stop eating. (I almost added cold turkey, ha ha ha!) So for us, there is always the middle ground. It’s ALL ABOUT the middle ground. So I am definitely checking out that, sorry, I already forgot the name, but I’ll go back, & see if there are groups available near me.

Thank you, again.
