Dear Sara,

I admire your courage & openness. Nothing is easy, finding a moral human being to love, being open as a trans person, being in a committed relationship no matter your sexuality — sometimes I think the only easy thing in this world is peeing in the shower. Gross, but easy.

I just want to applaud your honesty & your desire to start communication. It is through honest & open dialogue that we can learn about each other & figure out that our differences are much smaller than our sameness. That old bumper sticker is right, minds are like parachutes, they only work when they’re open. Thank you.
