Well written, thoughtful piece of writing! Thank you for sharing it with us. As an immigrant, a Jew & a woman, traits I’ve always thought of as my strengths, it never ceases to amaze me that others would consider me “less than,” any more then I would judge another by the color of their skin. What possible difference does that make? It’s always been the capacity to feel empathy for others, intelligence & passions that I “judge” others by. I do have one bias, one trait I hate in others: stubborn stupidity. There’s just no cure for that.
