I hear you, sister girl! I was on my first diet by the time I was 14 years old. When my shrink asked who put me on that diet, I thought for a second and replied, “My mother.” “So your mother decided you were too fat.” There’s nothing like a little transference, huh mum, for someone who had her own weight demons to fight all her life. It’s exhausting. I’m now 54, and a fucking expert on calories, & exercise — that’s why I don’t diet. And, I’ll start listening to nutritionists when they’ll all agree on a humble banana — is it good or is it evil? Fuck them all & the horses they rode to town on!
