Yes… it always bothered me that we have so few words for love in English — & so many words for money. What is important to us is what we find words for: snow for the Eskimos, noodles for the Vietnamese, drink/drunk/booze for Russians. Of course both English & Russian languages have plenty of words for “crazy,” so I’m not sure what that says about the cultures…the Greeks didn’t even have the word “blue” & they were surrounded by water! However, they had tons of words for torture & death, & very specific words for love, huh?
